A sign of the times

He took me back so we can go forward...

Hi beautiful,

I want to share something with you that the Lord brought back to me.

Earlier this month, He took me back to a prophetic word He gave me in 2022. When He first gave it to me, I was writing what I heard as quickly and carefully as I could. I remember hearing Him say, “Joshua of Nun,” and in that moment I thought, “Lord, am I making this up?” because I had heard of Joshua, but I had never heard the name said that way.

Still, I kept writing.

That part matters to me now because I realize even the way He gave the word was requiring obedience. I did not fully understand what I was hearing, but I knew I was supposed to write it down.

The Word of the Lord was:

“As in the days of Joshua of Nun so will my delay be no longer. Swift and fast. Prepare, pray, stock, store. Field house and storehouse. Hear the words no more. Heed the Spirit. Guard your heart. Focus your eyes. I am here. Trust me and you shall know no lack. Do not reason with yourself. Watch for my hand. You have to focus to fight.”

When the Lord brought me back to that word last week, He said, “This is now.”

And I have been sitting with the weight of that.

Because sometimes the issue is not that God has not spoken. Sometimes the issue is that we are trying to make what He said make sense before we agree with it.

The Scripture that came with this was Amos 3:3:

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

That question has been challenging me.

Do we walk with God only when we agree with Him? Only when what He says makes sense to us?

How can we call Him Lord and still require our understanding to approve His instructions before we move?

I say this with tenderness, but I also say it with urgency: the times are too volatile for delayed obedience.

There are moments when God is speaking to us about what He wants us to do, and there are moments when the timing of what He said carries just as much weight as the instruction itself.

The “when” matters.

The nudge matters.

The prompting matters.

The timing matters.

Why is He telling you to move on what He spoke now?

Why is He telling you to pray for that family member now?

Why is He telling you to put that money to the side today?

Why is He bringing the same Scripture, dream, burden, conversation, or instruction back before you again?

I believe the Lord is calling His daughters into a deeper agreement with Him. Agreement beyond what we can explain. Agreement beyond what feels convenient. Agreement beyond what our natural understanding can immediately support.

Because in these times, obedience cannot only be sincere. It must also be swift.

That does not mean we move in fear.

That does not mean we move in panic.

It means we move with reverence.

It means we stop treating the voice of God casually.

It means when He speaks, we listen. When He prompts, we pay attention. When He repeats Himself, we take it seriously. When He gives instruction, we come into agreement.

And beautiful, I want you to hear me clearly: this is not about being anxious. This is about being aligned.

When you are reading Scripture, when you are praying, when you are journaling, when something keeps coming back up in your spirit, ask the Lord what He is saying.

Ask Him why He is lifting it to you now.

Ask Him what it means for your now or your next.

Ask Him where He is asking for agreement.

Because it is possible to hear God and still delay because we are reasoning with ourselves.

That line from the word has stayed with me: “Do not reason with yourself.”

That does not mean we throw wisdom away. It means we stop using our own reasoning to talk ourselves out of obedience.

Some of us have been calling it discernment when it has really been delay.

Some of us have been waiting for peace when God already gave instruction.

Some of us have been asking for confirmation after He has already confirmed it again and again.

And I believe the Lord is saying, “Walk with Me. Agree with Me. Trust what I am saying. Move when I tell you to move.”

So I wanted to share this word with you because I do believe it is a sign of the times.

He is speaking now.

He is asking for immediate obedience now.

He is preparing His daughters now.

And the question before us is simple, even if the answer costs us something:

Will we agree with Him?

Tomorrow night, I will be teaching the final part of the Kingdom Woman Series, Money: It’s Time to Multiply.

And I do believe the timing of this word coming back before me is connected.

So come with fresh eyes and an open heart.

And between now and then, sit with the Lord and ask Him:

Where are You asking me to agree with You quickly?

See you tomorrow night,
